Kunzite is a pink to lilac colored gemstone, a variety of spodumene with the color coming from minor to trace amounts of manganese. Kunzite was discovered in 1902. It has been found in Brazil, US, Canada, CIS, Mexico, Sweden, Australia, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.

Kunzite is a Stone of Emotion, opening and connecting the heart to the mind and stimulating a healing communion between the two. Kunzite encourages one to release walls built around the heart for protection.
